Block Skype
Skype uses both UDP and TCP ports to connect. As a pass-by filtering product, WFilter only blocks TCP traffic.
To block skype, you also need to block internet UDP ports 1024-65534 in your router/firewall.
Please check this guide for how to block skype: How to block skype?

Why email blocking doesn't work.
WFilter has three "Email black/white list" to filter email sender/receiver account. However, the "email black/white list" only can filter POP3/SMTP/IMAP emails. Web-based email can not be filtered. As you know, "gmail" is web-based email, so you can not use "Email black/white list" to filter it. Che...

Can I install WFilter on the Domain Controller Server?
I recommend you not to install WFilter in your domain controller. It is because you need to connect the server to a mirroring port in your switch to do monitoring. However, as the internet traffic is copied to the mirroring port, this port can be very busy. So I am afraid it might slow down your yo...

WFilter port mirroring issue.
Neither of your "Dlink EBR-2310" or "Netgear GS-116" supports "port mirroring".
You need a manageable switch to deploy monitoring. A manageable switch will allow you to setup a mirroring port for monitoring purpose.

How to monitor and block DHCP students computers?
Since the students computers are changing, it becomes difficult for you to monitor and manage them. I have two solutions for you: 1. Monitoring and blocking by AD username, so it doesn't matter if computers/IPs are changed. 2. Using static IP addresses instead. 3. Assign a same blocking policy to th...
