What will happen if one of the computers connected to the network system also installs Wfilter?

To monitor other computers, the WFilter computer shall be connected to a mirroring port in your switch. It means, only the IT administrator can do this. Other users are not able to configure the mirroring port. If the IT administrator does run two WFilter programs, then both can work as configured.

Can WFilter work in windows server 2008 R2?

Windows 2008 R2 driver requires a driver signature to work.

In case the signature is not automatically copied, you need to check and copy the signature file by hand. The signature files are located in the "driverscatfile" directory of WFilter.

Threat Management Gateway (TMG) 2010

WFilter can be installed in a 2008 server. However, it's not compatible with TMG because TMG forbids WFilter driver to access network packets.

If you have TMG installed as a gateway, you need to install WFilter in another computer and connect this computer to a mirroring port of your switch.

Record Skype activities.

Skype traffic is encrypted. We can not decode it.

With WFilter, you can detect skype connections, and you also can set blocking policy to block it. But there is no way to records its message content.

Mirroring and not able to see wifi traffic

No problem with your port mirroring settings.

How do you configure WFilter "IP Segments" settings?

Please check and set it to "192.158.1.0/24" to make a try.
