Monitoring Facebook

Hi,



I'm using the evaluation copy of WFilter Enterprise (en.3.3.201) and cannot see chats. Recording level is set to 'High' and applied to the clients to monitor. The current online section shows the appropriate clients Chatting Online (i.e. Skype, IRC Chat, Jabber, Facebook IM). But when I run a Chat Details report I do not see any recorded chats.



Using other sniffers I am capable of 'seeing' conversations so I know that mirroring is configured properly.



Any help?

WFilter does not support recording of facebook chat in "Chat Logs".



Because facebook is using HTTP post to send messages, therefore you can see sending chat messages in "Web Posting" records. However, there is no record of receiving facebook messages.



We will add facebook support in later versions of WFilter.
