WFilter integred active directory windows 2003?

Postby Ben2010 » Tue Nov 02, 2010 6:38 pm

I see that 1 or 2 computers out of the 12 that i have monitoring have shown up with the username.

I have added the AD controller and can see the list but it just doesnt seem to pick them up on most of the computers.

What is wrong?

WFilter can not detect an AD username until re-login of this AD user.

So please wait for them to relogin to be monitored.

Ok i will leave it for a couple of days. Thanks for that

I have it set up so the adsl modem in plugged into the port mirror port and the wfilter machine is plugged into the port that is getting mirrored.

That should be fine?

I am afraid not.

WFilter computer shall be connected to the mirroring(monitoring) port.

While adsl shall be connected to the mirrored(monitored) port.

Please check the deployment examples for more detail:

Sure. WFilter retrieves AD usernames from your domain controller. It's not related to the port mirroring settings.
