Hi! I need to monitor/block 8 computers connected to a Switch TP-Link TL-SG2224WEB, which supports port mirroring.. Configuration of the network is like this:

Modem/Router(ISP) ---> Switch TP-Link TL-SG2224WEB ---> 8 Computers connected to this switch TP Link

My question is: if I connect 1 Computer to a mirroring port, then I can monitor the other ones from there?

Sorry for my english, hope you understand.

Appreciate your help on this..

THANK YOU!!!

yes. WFilter works with this topology.

Please check this deployment example: http://www.imfirewall.us/help/doc/deploy_wireless.htm

It's also a tplink switch, the mirroring settings are about the same.

Sorry, one last question...

Is it necessary for the modem/router to support "port mirroring"?

I know that my switch do support that feature...

thanks!!

No. A port mirroring switch or router is enough.
