Computer name.

A few questions,



1. Why I am not able to capture all of the computer names but only some in the monitoring log? It shows only the ip and mac addresses.



2. Account monitoring - Is this anywhere going to override my domain gp policy?

WFilter uses NETBios scan to get computer names. However, if the target computer is firewall protected, or the netbios service is disabled. WFilter is not able to get it's computer name.



You can manually edit the computer name in "User-computer table" of WFilter.

WFilter policies will not override any domain group policy.
