I'm setup the Wfilter via pass-thought and blocked QQ messenger. However, I'm still able to login to QQ international althought the monitoring log showed "blocked.." .

Can someone advise?

Is your WFilter installed in a bridge or gateway computer?

If the above is true, please make sure the pass-through filtering driver is installed, you may check this topic: How to install WFilter IMNPTF driver?

If the above is not true and the WFilter computer is connected to a mirroring port, it's pass-by filtering mode, you need to block certain udp ports in your router to block qq. please check: How to block certain UDP ports in router/firewall?

The WFilter is installed in bridge computer (pass-through) and I had installed the IMNPTF driver. I did a system check from the Wfilter, everything is working good including the IMNPTF.

Sometimes, the qq messenger can sign in, but no online buddy, nor it can send/receive any messages.

Is the qq messenger able to send messages?

And please tell me your qq version for us to check.

We can block this QQ version in our lab.

Please also block remote udp port 8000 in your router, it is helpful to block QQ.

Do I need to block ports in my router if the Wfilter is connected in passthrough mode??

Thanks.

You don't need to block ports in router in pass-through mode.

But blocking ports in router is helpful if the pass-through filtering driver is not working.

You can check "Online Computers"->"Online Chatting" to check the QQ ports, if QQ ports are 8000, it means this udp port is not successfully blocked by the filtering driver.
