Can WFilter block laptops via mobile broadband connections?

I am looking at options to limit internet access on some laptop computers.

These laptops are not used on our company network, but are used via mobile broadband connections.

Would IMFirewall be able to be installed directly on these computers, to limit their internet access, whatever network they are connected to?

WFilter can only monitor and filter internet access of local network computers. If a laptop is using mobile broadband network, it's in a different network. We can not monitor and filter it.

And WFilter is not designed to be installed in every client computer. So I don't think it's a good idea to install it directly in each laptop.

Hi,

I know it's a very old post, but I don't know if this has been answered or not.

We have a client for whom we are running the same setup, and we are securing the laptops that run out of the network.

If you still need to know how, please let me know, and I can jot down all the details and maybe give you a design showing how it all goes thru.

Regards,

Aj.
