How to block facebook?

Hi all,
Ok so to be clear, i have successfully blocked facebook and have a nice denial page set up. However, it didn't take me long to find a loophole in the blocking. By googling "facebook", it provides a list of links within facebook on the 1st search, one of these is "log in". The address for this "log in" link is "https://www.facebook.com/login.php". Clicking this link will provide the log in screen, not the denial screen, and i have no idea why; my only guess is that its because it is https?
is there a way to fully block facebook? and/or is there a way to block https sites? when i type https://www.facebook.com into the block list, it removes the https part.
UPDATE: ok, so when i logged into facebook, it redirects you to the normal "http://www.facebook.com" which is blocked. so while the log on screen can be accessed, logging on doesn't seem to be accessible. however, if there is a way to block a "https" site, i would love to know. Thanks
