How to change WFilter listening port?

WFilter uses same port as Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager's web interface ( http://localhost:9090 ).

You can change WFilter ports.



By default, WFilter listens on port 9090 and 9091. You can change the ports by modify LanMonitor.cfg manully. LanMonitor.cfg is located in the config directory of WFilter's installation directory. (Default:c:program filesIMFirewallWFilter)



Steps:



1). Edit LanMonitor.cfg using notepad.

2). In "System" section, find "Port1=9090".

3). Modify the port number and save this file.

4). To apply new configurations, you need to restart the WFilterd service.
