No packet can be monitored

Postby monitor1974 » Sun Jul 14, 2013 4:43 am

I have a Netgear WNDR3700v2 Wifi Router and would like to monitor the Internet Traffic. When I got to check setting it is showing - 10.0.0.2--Realtek PCIe GBE Family Controller which is strange. This is not my Wifi Adapter in the computer that I have installed so why is it showing - 10.0.0.2--Realtek PCIe GBE Family Controller? How to I monitor my traffic.

Please notice WFilter can not monitor on most wireless adapters, unless your wireless adapter supports promiscuous mode(only few cards support this feature).

My suggestion is to configure WFilter to work on a wired adapter, which shall be connected to a mirroring port in your switch or router.
