Support of wireles router

Postby CSON » Wed Aug 21, 2013 10:49 am

I intend to use Wfilter at home with a wireless router, and the objective is block Counter-strike on line game. The on line game will run in a PC notebook, and the PC notebook with Win 7 OS will access internet via the wireless router.

Please advise me on the following :

- can wfilter enterprise support wireless router ?

- If yes, which brand/models can be considered ? I'm looking for a simple hardware solution, and it is ideal that switch or PC emulated switch are not required.

- If not, I appreciate if you can propose other solutions for consideration.

Thank you in advance.

If you only need to block counter-strike online game, I believe it can be done simply by blocking it's communication port in your router's firewall settings.

Anyway, not all wireless routers can work with WFilter. Please check this guide: Wifi network monitoring solutions
