Wfilter on Hyper-V

Anyone is able to install Wfilter into Hyper-V yet?

Hyper-V does not forward mirrored network packets to virtual machines. So WFilter can not monitor network computers even port mirroring is configured.



In the meantime, I would recommend you to use vmware or virtualbox instead.



With the coming WFilter 4.1 version, a new component named "filterAgent" will be added, which can encapsulate packets and forward to a remote ip. With this "filteragent", WFilter will be able to work in Hyper-V. (The filterAgent runs in the host computer to forward packets to WFilter). I will write a guide about this when WFilter 4.1 version is official released.
