I'm trying to limit the internet bandwidth and not block it when it reaches a desired value. I've read on the online guide you can limit the real time bandwidth but it also blocks certain activities too. I would just like to limit it. Is there a way to do this via this software?

WFilter does monitoring and filtering on a mirroring port. It only handle copy of the packets. This is called as "Passby filtering". Check WFilter Technologies.

In "Passby filtering", you can not only limit the real-time bandwidth to a certain value. But you can block bandwidth consumable protocols as p2p downloading, online video... It also helps to save your bandwidth.

You can check this guide for more details: How To Control Internet Bandwidth Usage?
