How do I know web surfing duration time of employees in WFilter?

I noticed that the software shows the starts time of logging into a

site but not the duration spent on the site. Is there an option to see how

long a user is spending in one site/url? This is a key feature for us to

use.

In "Statistics & Reports"->"Web Report", there is a report named "Web Surfing Time Report". This report gives you web surfing time report of users, websites ...

And I want you to know that because it is difficult to determine whether the user is actually reading the page, we calculate the Internet Browse Time by using a special algorithm. We use the "Read Time Threshold" as the basis for measuring browse time. The Read Time Threshold is 3 minutes by default. For example, an employee goes to www.cnn.com. If a request is made to www.google.com 2 minutes after the initial request to www.cnn.com, 2 minutes of browse time are assigned to cnn.com. A subsequent request to www.msn.com 4 minutes later will assign 3 minutes to google.com and begin a new session for msn.com.

This algorithm is not so accurate, but it works good actually.

I looked at the report and it seams that I only get the total amount of time

spent on the web. I need to actually see the amount of time each user spent

on each site. Does this software do that?

Yes, you can do that.

Different "Report By" will give you different reports.

For example, if you choose "Website" as the "Report By", you will get web surfing time report on each website. If you only need report for certain users, you need to set the users in "Users"->"Selected Computers".
