Hi,
We're testing WFilter for implementing black lists URL filtering. It's working as expected, but we found that any URL black-listed can be efectively accessed if the user knows the IP address of the URL and types it on the browser.
For example:
www.imfirewall.us --> 68.178.138.76
The black list includes www.imfirewall.us and it is blocked OK, but if the user enters its IP address 68.178.138.76 the website can be accessed.
We found one workaround. That is to include the IP address 68.178.138.76 in the black list... but this is not practical, as IP addresses usually change without notice.
Is there any way to solve this?
Thanks,
Alejandro.

Blocking websites by IP address
Currently, to block an ip address web access, you need to add the ip address into the "website black list" of WFilter.
However, I believe "Blocking Web Access using IP Address" is a good feature which should be added. We will add this kind of feature in later version of WFilter.

Thanks. I'm glad to know I've made this contribution to WFilter :)

"Block Web Surfing via IP Address" feature is added since build en.3.3.169.
Thanks for your suggestion.
