I saw your software, did some tests, but still wondering if it can help us and our customers.
We represent software called IceWarp Server. It has an XMPP/Jabber IM server. File transfers occur either via SOCKS4 (ex: port 1080) or without SOCKS (which only works if users are not behind NAT firewall). When it doesnt use SOCKS it uses port 80 for file transfer, same as its webmail, which has to be accessible.
Will I be able to block file xfers of Jabber in this case?
From what I read I just cant block local transfers if IceWarp server is installed on LAN, but if its installed at a datacenter, I imagine it would work?
Bad thing is I only have access to virtual servers that are remote for testing, I dont have a dedicated server to test this tool... I tried to test on my LAN, and it detected FTP file transfers, etc. but not IM file transfers. Tried to define port, etc. no luck.

Block jabber file transfers
I believe WFilter can block file xfers of Jabber in your case. But it requires you to mirror all server traffic to WFilter for it to parse.
And can you tell me the Jabber server program name and version? We can do some tests to confirm it.

Block jabber file transfers
Thanks, that would be great. This way we can recommend your software, as many customers ask about such control (block file transfers), which our software wont have.
It's IceWarp Server, you can get a copy in downloads page (trial). Its a mail server with IM server also (Jabber).

Block jabber file transfers
I am sorry to tell you, according to our tests, Jabber file transfer can not be blocked by our WFilter. It is because the file transfer is peer to peer, so in the server side, WFilter can not detect/block the ftp traffic.
