PC minimum requirement of WFilter

I'd like to know PC minimum requirement of WFilter.

My end user is a college. So estimated user is about 500. Concurrent user might be around 200-300.

PC requirements:



1). The memory cost is related to the computers number you are monitoring. Each computer costs about 1M RAM.

RAM needed = computer number(N) * 1M



2). Each monitored computer costs about 2M hard disk space one day if you turn all recording level on.

Hard disk space needed = computer number(N) * 2M * days



In your case, the minimal PC requirements:

CPU: P4

RAM: 1G

Disk Space: 250G (For one year data)



Recommended requirements:

CPU: P4+

RAM: 2G

Disk Space: 360G (For one year data)





If you want to reduce hard disk cost, you can set a lower recording level, for example: not recording email content or file content will highly reduce disk cost.



You are also recommended to set a proper log keep days in "Manage Logs" to delete expired logs.
